Missouri began officially implementing 4R practices in 2018 with an agreement between Missouri Fertilizer Control Board, Missouri Agribusiness Association, Missouri Corn Merchandising Council, Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, and The Nature Conservancy.  In the time since creating a Missouri 4R effort, the Missouri 4R Nutrient Stewardship Certification Council has been organized and Missouri 4R Certification Standards are in late development stages.

A pilot program is currently near implementation utilizing Missouri Department of Natural Resources Soil and Water Conservation Program cost-share dollars and will hopefully be on the ground for the 2021 cropping season.
